    gaming computer

I have a 4 or 5 year old CyberPowerPC and when I checked I will NOT be able to install Windows 11 on it (something to do with no Secure Boot on my mother board and the AMD processor is not supported). What I'm thinking is that it MIGHT be time next year to get another gaming computer. Or should I just build one (I have done that before, a LONG time ago)? Any input would be helpful.

    hi snikr,

Building your own always bring added satisfaction.

And you know much more about it after.

Hello, if I were you, I would build my own. Looks like you could use your GPU (maybe PSU, case) in the new build to reduce initial costs, then do further upgrades later.

Build if you have the time and also willing to do some learning curve since the last time you did it. Just note there might be a shortage of good GPUs right now, pandemic and all.

Not so much for gaming machines but sometimes the OEMs have a sale on decent computers that are hard to beat when compared with buying all the parts to build one. I'm running 3 Custom Desktops built more than 4 years ago now with 3 different Editions of Win10, one ASUS Win10 Desktop and a Dell Desktop with Linux Mint.

As @Berton stated you're better off buying a decent prebuild right now due to the circumstances of the hardware and prices.
Unless you have a good gpu already from at least 3 years 4 years if its GTX 1080 1080TI then you have a shot at building your own if not go Berton's route the safest and cheapest at the moment.Gaming PC and Desktop Trusted Brand | CyberPowerPC

Thanks for the quick answers. My problem with building a new computer is knowing what parts to get. Right now Windows 11 is NOT supporting my AMD processor (FX-6300). And I'm in no hurry. Thinking of keeping my eyes out for a "deal" first before I go the "build my own" route. And if I do build one I will have LOTS of questions about what "stuff" to use.....LOL

Better off buying the Pre-builts i showed you.
The cost to build is too high right now it makes more sense to go that route just for a GPU especially a decent one is going to be $1200 or more.
