    running windows xp games on windows 10


    hi there, so im trying to run windows xp games on windows 10 the one i want to run is dinner dash and the pop cap games and i see such bad performace on windows 10 on thease games. and i have no idea why. the games flicker and randomly close i have them running on windows 10 compatibiblty layer set as windows xp service pack 3 and run as admidastraor. is there some way i can run thease on windows 10 natively without using a virtual machine? i cant get the mouse cursosr to show up on the virtual machines when i want to play thease games it just dosent work. windows 10 version 2004

    A bit of history, only the Pro version of WinXP was available as 64-bit as well as 32-bit, other versions were 32-bit. Your games are either 16-bit or 32-bit, most folks find older programs may be 16-bit and may work on the 32-bit version of Win10 but not on the 64-bit so it may be a compatibility issue. I have such a program I've kept older Windows for. For old games I use those from Win7.

    Try 'XP service pack 2' compatibility, seems to run fine for me with a copy I downloaded from here: Diner Dash '-' Old Games Download
