PS4 Controller Abruptly One Day Disabled?

    Hi,

Yeah so like to subject says, I'm a gamer. I usually play often but as of late not so much. I always connect my PS4 controller through a USB to my computer. Today I hopped on my game after awhile of not playing and to my surprise my computer isn't catching on!

I've been through several youtube videos and have tried trouble shooting but to no avail. Basically my USBs work as far as connections and devices but not my PS4 controllers. None of them. I don't know why. Requesting help!

    Regards,
    Hi I'm Non-binary lol

    Is the controller charged up?
Have you tried connecting via Bluetooth?
    Have you installed DS4Windows?
What platform is the game on - Steam, Windows/xBox, GoG etc?
Is the controller shown under devices?

I've downloaded DS4 but haven't as of yet gotten it to work. I've never used it before. In fact, up to now I've always ever needed the USB connecting my computer to my controller and across Steam and Battle.net/COD:Warzone it has never failed me up until now. If there's a fix that doesn't include DS4 I'd be happy. If there's a fix that allows me to resume my normal procedure I'm totally open to it. In the meantime I'll get familiar with DS4 and see how that pans out.

    Thanks,

I just want to add that it usually hums in this yellow colour but now it only outputs the yellow hum momentarily upon connectivity via USB but really it's quite brief.

    Thanks,

I was thrown off at first with the light coming on momentarily upon connecting it to the computer but as of right now I found out what it was. Even though there was a brief visual queue of connectivity I switched USBs and it works!

    Hurrah!

Glad to hear switching USB worked.
DS4 Windows is mainly for Bluetooth connection but sometimes having BT & USB connected seems to kick my DS4 into working with some games.
