    Massive FPS Drops on a certain game

    Hi everyone,
    ive recently been having problems with my build, with my FPS dropping in Fortnite from like 300-400 to 40 even in the menu with nothing going on and it crashing quite often. I did a fresh install of windows and drivers but getting the same problem, My CPU is at 50-70% utalization and my GPU around 40%, No overclocks or thermal problems. Im so confused as to what is going on when im playing fortnite.
    But i could really do with some help.

    Also tried WC Cleaner, Driver Checker, and process lasso. Also Stress tested and benchmarked my system mutiple times with no crashes or problems.
    64Bit windows Version 20H2
    Thankyou

    Just ran DISM and sfc /scannow and no problems, but still getting the drops. Im starting to think its something related to the game.

    I had feeling I read something about Fortnite recently, this may help: How To DRASTICALLY Boost FPS & Lower Input Delay In Fortnite Season 5 - In-Depth FPS Boost Guide! - YouTube

    Also try different drivers, perhaps older. Or just now 461.72 released. But you should wait before updating, bad drivers can even kill GPU!

    Also try borderless mode, if you use DX12, new MPO overlay is good. V-Sync OFF Not Recommended as a Global Setting Starting with Driver Version 461.09 | NVIDIA

    If you use DX11 disable FSO, save as .reg file, but first right click key in this location and export to backup registry, so you can revert:
    Code:
    Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore]
    "GameDVR_DXGIHonorFSEWindowsCompatible"=dword:00000001
    "GameDVR_FSEBehavior"=dword:00000002
    "GameDVR_FSEBehaviorMode"=dword:00000002
    "GameDVR_HonorUserFSEBehaviorMode"=dword:00000001
    You can verify, if it is working, if you change sound using keyboard, or switch input language. If you see no pop out window: it is working!
