Origin High CPU Usage/HDD Light Flickering

Hi guys. I recently Reformatted my computer and re-installed Windows 10 64-bit OS. I am currently on W10 version 1909, and I have lately noticed that when Origin is running, there is really high CPU usage. I have seen it upwards of 80%. when no game or anything is running. Has anyone else experienced this, and or know a fix? Here are my laptop specs:

    MSI GT75 Titan 8SF

    - Windows 10 Home 64-bit OS (1909 Version)
    - 32GB System RAM
    - Intel Core i7 8th Gen 8750H @ 2.20 GHz

I have also lately noticed my HDD light is flickering lots. I currently have an 1TB Samsung Evo Plus with the OS installed in my laptop, and a 4TB HDD/SSD Hybrid drive installed as well.

    Help would be greatly appreciated

If you do a little Web searching, you'll find that this is a common complaint with EA's Origin software. And has been for years.

There doesn't appear to be a solid fix for it.

Is it safe to play games on Origin? I am concerned about the high CPU usage as it would go higher when playing games...

I have not experienced the problem, and it has been installed for a number of years.

For configuration, essential for lean operation:
Origin > Application Settings > Client update > All 3 Off.
    Start-up options > both Off.
Most things are Off in the other categories - Diagnostics, Installs & Saves, Notifications, In Game.
You are then in control of game/client updates and some background processes (hopefully...).

Assuming no updating actions at the time, about ~2-14% CPU usage(10-15% Disc usage) on mine.
Compared to, ~1-7% for Epic, ~1-3% for Ubisoft Connect, ~1-4% for Steam.

So Origin is certainly the worst of that selection.

I always Quit/Exit any of these game clients when not in use.
