Could be you have a defective power supply
A few more points. Run OCCT, for both CPU and GPU, not to check temps, but to see if it encounters any errors.
If you've overclocked anything, go back to default clocks. If XMP is enabled, disable it for a while.
I ran the OCCT test, and no errors were found. I went on to their power test, and my pc shut down after about ten minutes. I did it again with the same result. I then disabled XMP and ran the power test again. After disabling XMP the PC did not shut down at all during the hour long test.
The event viewer gave me this warning 9 minutes before shutdown if this means anything.
A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Keep XMP disabled and use your computer for a while, maybe a day or two, and do the tasks you always do. If the problem doesn't occur, then it's probably a memory compatibility issue.
Take a look at your board's memory support lists: B550M AORUS PRO (rev. 1.0) Support | Motherboard - GIGABYTE U.S.A.
Ryzen 5000 isn't there yet, but do it anyway. Matisse is ryzen 3000, Renoir is 4000.
You could also switch the modules around, and also try the other channel.
What's your BIOS version? A newer BIOS sometimes improves compatibility.
If that doesn't help, there are a few other solutions:
1. leave XMP disabled permanently, but it'll lower the game performance.
2. enable XMP but lower the max memory clock speed until it becomes stable. (there is also this tool for fine tuning, but I haven't used it myself: Download DRAM Calculator for Ryzen v1.7.3)
3. If you really want it to run at 3600, I suppose you'd have to buy new memory with better compatibility.
Upon booting up a game, it shut down again. XMP was off this time and nothing was overclocked. Since you posted and since the most recent shut down I have updated my bios to the most recent version. I will update if another shut down occurs.
Side note, every time the PC shuts off, there is an audible click coming from my PC, which I assume is the PSU shutting off
The click is probably from the HDD.
Run DISM and SFC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...rrupted-system
Also do a memtest: MemTest86+ - Test RAM
Are the drivers up to date, chipset, graphics?
