    I can't get into my PS4

    Good afternoon.

I had one controller left that belonged to my nephew, which I returned to him.

I finally bought a new controller, but I cannot get it paired. The instructions say that the PS4 has to be on to pair another controller (I have it plugged into the PS4 with the USB cord, it shows as charging by the orange lights that are flashing). When I hit the PS4 button on the controller, it will not let me into the system. I haven't run the PS4 in months, but I can still see my apps puling updates, but I still cannot get in.

I'm pretty sure this is something simple, but how can I get into my system so I can get my new controller paired?

    Thanks for your help.

Glad to hear you’ve solved it. What was the problem in the end?
I’ve had that problem when the cable isn’t the original but third party, it seems these will charge but not sync.

I had my Nephew's controller because my controllers were broken. I had to dig up and then charge up one of my broken controllers and it let me back in, then I was able to sync up the new controller. Lucky for me I never threw out my old controllers, holding out hope I can find a place to get them fixed instead of buying new ones.
