It doesn't mean anything in terms of what vision those franchises have when the same leads are there. What could change is in how Microsoft wants to monetize and distribute them.

How is it a bad day for PC gaming? Microsoft owns Windows. Most of their titles are and will be available on PC. They even distribute games on other PC platforms besides their own storefront. There's no chance in hell TESVI or FO5 will be exclusive to XBX/S if this is the concern. The elephant in the room is rather in how they will handle the exclusivity from iD, Bethesda, MachineGames and Arkane for their console competitors like Sony.

The exact same thing it did when MS bought Skype.....turned it into crap. Just my opinion.

As far as I know Microsoft has always "owned" Windows

It's a sad day because you have yet another game developer being eaten by a mega corporation. In this case were headed for more dumbed down X-Box style games. I came up in the mouse and keyboard era where you had to customize every piece of gear and weapon. Now it's one button fits all console type gaming - with Microsoft's X-Box "vision" pushing dumb down forward.

Anyway that's how I see it so.... again, bad day for gaming. That's me.
