Create a folder solitaire in Program Files(86), copy and paste into, and create a Desktop shortcut.

Much prefer the ole plain Solitaire than the candy-coated stylised later version.

I found the original XP games and they scan clean both locally and at Virustotal.
I've just uploaded them to Dropbox, and here is the link...

I just tested the pinball game... works fine on Win 10. Just unzip to a folder and run w/e executable for w/e game you want.

Is there absolutely no offline mode for Online Checkers? That was the real reason that I created this thread.

I have no idea, but I doubt it. Those games were from a One Drive link, that had ALL the Windows XP files. The Games.zip that I uploaded to Dropbox, was just one of the files.

Maybe you should consider the analog route. Just buy a checkers board, or one of those travel games things, that has chess, checkers, backgammon, etc., and is magnetic so you don't lose the pieces.

You could, as others have mentioned, just run a virtual Windows XP on Windows 10.

But I think you'll find the filename is sol.exe. In addition, you may want sol.chm which is found on an XP machine in C:\Windows\Help. And, for a bit of variety, you may like to add freecell.exe and freecell.chm.

Yeh, you're right of course, it is sol.exe. Never could get my head around Freecell, so haven't bothered with it.

Didn't really need the Help file, can cheat just as well without it ... like set the game for Draw 3 cards, but if I see a card "under" the top one, that I want, use the Undo menu to reverse the draw, then Ctrl+Shift+Alt then Click let's you draw 1 card at a time, then back to normal click to continue Draw 3 cards.

That is sad. I hope that someone will maybe create an offline mode modification for that good old game.
