    If you can get hold of an old XP machine you can copy them from there. They will run in Windows 10, even in version 2004. There's no install required, just copy them to a folder and run them from there. My favourite is the classic Solitaire. I play it often, and prefer it to the Win7 remake.

    If you have an XP install disk you can extract them from the i386 folder. You'll need to use the command EXPAND -R to decompress each of the compressed files you need. eg: expand -R F:\i386\CARDS.DL_ C:\temp

    One way to get a copy of XP that you could copy the games from would be to get the Windows XP Mode virtual machine from Microsoft. Follow Parts One and Two in this tutorial, then mount the .vhd file you created and browse it with File Explorer to find and copy the games files.

    My apologies, let me rephrase...
    I did search for Windows XP games but came up empty, so I thought the next best thing would be the link I posted, as most of them are similar.

    I guess I was wrong!

    Let me think for a second............,

    Yep, I'm tired, old, decrepit and stupid!!!

    @Sweetsweetcorn

    I found the original XP games and they scan clean both locally and at Virustotal.
    I've just uploaded them to Dropbox, and here is the link...

    Dropbox - Games.zip - Simplify your life

    I just tested the pinball game... works fine on Win 10. Just unzip to a folder and run w/e executable for w/e game you want.

    /e Actually I found a One Drive link where someone uploaded all the Windows XP files.
