    Xbox beta app

There was an app update for Xbox console companion and, as I always do to test, when I launched it afterwards it directed me to the new Xbox beta app. Said it is replacing Xbox console companion. I blindly clicked the link and installed it. Seems a poor shadow of the console companion on first glance. However my question is, can I keep console companion installed alongside it safely for now? Given that I think it’s a core pre installed app (don’t quote me on this) but I believe it’s hard to get rid off and more trouble than it’s worth trying to nuke it.

It's weird that Microsoft first released the Xbox App, then renamed it to Console Companion, and later made a new app called Xbox App. It's convoluted and confusing. But I can only assume it's safe to have it installed, for now anyway? My guess is that when the app is out of beta it will completely nuke itself. Strange that they even let you have it installed if its intention were to replace it in the first place.
