I noticed that my game icons looks worse quality in windows 10 compared to windows 7. They look more fuzzy and pixelated than windows 7. Anyone know what the issue could be?
The Win 7 image has had several JPG compressions possibly some anti-aliasing or resampling as well, much more than the Win 10 image.
The RH icon may have a different source in each case.
You can tell from the text which is better in the Win 10 image. The Win 7 image has far more JPG artifacts.
In fact it is a worse quality image than the Win 10 image as far as text goes.
It basically illustrates why JPG compression which is lossy should only be used for photo like images. Not for text and diagrams which Icons basically are.
