    Cannot Maintain A Stable FPS

    Hello

Recently I have been trying to play any game and I can't maintain a stable FPS rate in any of them, it will settle around 70FPS but it drops to 20 -15 fps every couple of seconds. I reinstalled by graphic driver with DDU and that hasn't made much difference.

Is there anything that could be done?

If you need any information, please let me know. Windows Version 1903

    Thanks in advance.

Looks like your card can handle overwatch at 60fps on medium.

Does it do this when it's plugged in?

have you double checked to make sure your laptop is on high performance? Laptops generally throttle down to save on battery. Make sure it's on the high performance setting

It's definitely on the high performance setting and I always keep it plugged in when I play.

A varying Frame Rate is normal in games, it drops when a lot of moving objects are around.

Switching On/Off Vsync can make a difference, depends on a particular game which is best.

Some Graphics effects are CPU/GPU intensive, so you turn those down somewhat e.g. detailed shadows, anti-aliasing, texture filtering, and so on, in most cases there is almost no noticeable difference in image qualities, but will increase frame rate.

These settings are either in the Game settings and/or the Graphics Card control panel.

Most of the time I have my graphic and performance settings are on the minimum and I still have performance issues, even though I think that my computer shouldn't really struggle that much. And it's not like a issue because I have 80fps and it just stutters even though I'm not doing anything.

run user benchmark and see if it indicates that you're card is running at its expected performance.

Have you checked your temps with speccy or anything?

Is this issue only happening in games? Nothing else? Any certain game, or all games?

It's happening on all games and according to userbenchmark. My computer is performing much below expected, especially my graphics card and my processor. Do you think it just might be because they are old. This computer is quite old now.

Technology like computers aren't people. They don't get old and just slow down for no reason. There's always a cause.

Is your computer running too hot? what's your temps?

They sit at around 60 degrees most of the time and I haven't seen them get higher than 85 and I keep the monitored.

When did this issue start happening? Did you install any new software? Change any drivers?

When you updated your graphics driver, did you try the clean install/factory reset option?
