windows white mouse cursor is showing in some games

the windows white mouse cursor is not going away when i launch some old games like final fantasy 8 and 9, full throttle remastered, day of the tentacle remastered and world of final fantasy. i have to move the mouse to a corner to hide it. in other games the cursor is getting hidden when i launch the game. why is this happening in some games and in others no?

is that because those old games are launched in borderless window mode instead of in full screen mode and that makes the game launch in the background with the mouse cursor on top of it?

That along side older games using a different Direct X.

Some of the older games i played used this and cursor was visible. Compatibility problems even back then. im sure there were work arounds for some games. Resolution yep, probably the biggest factor i think. Probably say a game made before about 2001/2002 you will always have problems, unless the game still has a big following and community based, then things normally get updated and modified to work on more modern hardware.

Take 'Grand Prix Legends' for example. Made in 1997/98 and just take a look at its beauty running today on modern gear
