1 game on D: Drive but very slow

Primary Laptop Tasks most days is watch a few youtube videos, check email, some days gaming if Desktop is busy with something else, or it's time for some virus scan or malware scan on Desktop, then I use the Laptop a while--(HP Omen 15_ce019dx)

Dust cleaned out from vents best I can every 3 months, same for Desktop machine
((laptop a bit harder to do, but when I upgrade the ram eventually to 16gb inside it) then will do a full clean of the fans/vents I know for sure, just a bit nervous unscrewing all 10 screws, and getting the clips undone to access the user upgradeable items--gonna order a toolkit on my birthday in February so I should feel better working on it after that)

My tips for successful laptop gaming--use on flat surface, like a table or desk, make sure vents are free of dust as much as possible, make sure gaming on A/C Power if the Laptop has dual video options, for example Intel/Nvidia or Intel/AMD Radeon video chips, as using on battery it will use the Intel video adapter, and may not use the Nvidia discrete video or AMD discrete video if equipped.

Laptops generally don't cool as well as Desktops, I try to keep mine as cool as I can, in the summer, I have a fan on almost 24/7 keeping the systems cool or air conditioning on to make sure the Computers stay as cool as possible

Thanks, all! All my ports and such seem to be clear of dust, but I can do a more in-depth cleaning of my laptop. I can use a youtube video for reference unless anyone has something to recommend. As I'm typing this, the fan just made a funky buzzing sound that went away after about 5 seconds. My computer is also charging 24/7.

Yeah i thinking about getting a usb powered cooler for mine possibly at birthday next month provided can afford one and one i want haha

So I played a game to test my computer, and about 7 minutes in, the game froze, and i got a blue screen, which has never happened before. I followed instructions from here: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...-screen-errors
and I hard restarted my computer multiple times, then entered safe mode. In safe mode, I uninstalled a program that I didn’t know how it got there called Segurazo Antivirus. I then restarted my computer. When I got back to it, I played another test game, which went fine! I will do some more tests tomorrow but for now the issue seems to be in working order.

So I tested Forza Horizon 4 for about an hour - it works! So I think the solution was a) holding the power button down for about 5 seconds and then turning the computer on, and doing that about 3 times, or b) entering safe mode and getting rid of Segurizo or whatever
