Same model gamepads pairing to the wrong stick

I have two gamepads of the same model in two different Win10 PCs and, when turned on, they might randomly connect to the stick in the wrong PC. Doubt so but is there any way to prevent this from happening?

Disable any Windows Xbox services in Computer Management if you dont need them.
Windows 10 Settings, disable any Xbox Audio or Video broadcast setting, disable the lot

    Hope you fix it bud

Not sure I understand; won't disabling that disable the gamepads?
I wanna keep using both gamepads at once, each on their separate computer.

The game pads will still work without any Xbox online services running.
Gamepads should be configured within Windows and work as a normal pad like always. You would either have a dedicated PC pad which will connect through USB, or a PS2 pad with a serial to USB conversion adapter. Or a PS3 pad with a bluetooth adapter connected to a USB port.
What pads are you using? Should of asked this before !
All gamepads will have the traditional Windows setup calibration window, where you see a range of 16 buttons, and two stick calibrations.

So lets think about this then. If a particular pad is now controlling the other machine, they must be linked in some way. We need to remove the link.

These are the gamepads we're using.
After short inactivity they turn off so if both my brother and me happen to have them off at the same time and someone turns their off there's a chance it might pair with the other's computer.
My guess is the dongle that comes with those works for any gamepad of the same model and that'd mean there's no way to prevent the issue.

About your suggestion, I don't really quite understand those services even after a bit of searching and I don't feel confident turning them on. Also, I don't see how they would be related to the issue.

    Got you
I only mentioned the Xbox services as an all round 'out the box' hehe suggestion, not realising both your pads are connected through wireless. Now i read the post 'subject' properly, i see the word 'paired', my bad.
Hard wired pads wouldnt generally have this type of control, so for me not knowing beforehand, i wasnt totally sure, sorry

So process of elimination would lead to a Bluetooth/WiFi communication problem yes.

    Edit:

You could try disabling the 'uPNP' services in Windows to stop any auto connections.
I also see some Windows 10 Bluetooth services. Bluetooth support service says it can control whether any remote devices connect or not.

    Give them a try

Sorry about any unrelated suggestions before
