Windows won't save autosaves from games

Hello! So I have this problem, 3 games in a row: So I played some Call of Duty:Black Ops, it managed to save missions completed until a point, then I played 3 more missions then left, and it rolled back 3 missions back. Same story for Dying Light and Assassin's Creed:Syndicate. Why won't Windows save my games progress? I dont have any antivirus installed. Any idea?

See if Controlled Folder Access is blocking the saves. To test, try tuning it off temporarily.

Enable or Disable Controlled Folder Access in Windows 10

If that works, you can turn it back on and allow each blocked app through individually.

Add or Remove Allowed Apps for Controlled Folder Access in Windows 10.

When did widows start saving game play? Every game I've ever played, the game save is done with in the game itself or the game service...ie Steam, Orgin and so on.

It has been turned off since when I installed Windows. So I don't think that's the problem.

I don't think Controlled Folder issue either - not in that sense. It "may" however be a permissions issue.

Where are all those games installed - directory? Are these Steam based games?

They're not, and they're installed on my second partition. Not in C, but in E.

Right click the master folder where all the games are located, click the Security tab. Click the Advanced tab. where it says Owner, make sure it says Administrators (with your name in parenthesis). Click OK. Go back to the Security tab you clicked earlier and check that Administrators (with your name in parenthesis) has full rights. If not click Edit, find the name, and tick all the check boxes. Ok out of everything and see if your issue is resolved.

    Let me know.
