Oh its so addictive. Especially when youre online. Altbierbude and the others will always have special events in the evening through the week. 1.5 hrs practise, 1 hr qualify. Full race, could be 30-40 laps. With my old 5.1 headset and Audigy Eax oh wow. On the grid, lets say Pole Position hehe of 30 cars, and some of the very best racers who make you nervous. I didnt care.
Used to join their German Teamspeak. They all welcomed me in, all German guys. I would join the Teamspeak channel and they would be like ''Ahhhh Pluginz welcome'' !! They all spoke really good english and made me feel welcome. None of them could beat me in GT Legends when i drove some cars haha and the slower BMW CSL 3.2 in the top GT class. I could keep up with the faster cars. loved the challenge of trying to keep up.
The sweat and immersion. It cannot be beaten, by any game
One of my all time fastest laps at Zolder with BMW 3.2. record still holds today

Dont think i can make a link work with their site unless you manually search laptimes. Ah well
Select 'Best Laps' in left column
Track is Zolder
Class is full GT BMW 3.2
disable low guard and show 500 results.
Your link to the site works.
Thanks, I will search thru it in the morning.
Gonna need a lot of practice.
I found a few links to some Logitech G27's on Ebay.
First one is 2nd hand, but boxed and looks good, cheap. Tatty box? Who cares hehe

Second G27 wheel comes with a stand and looks real good ! I can see its about 100 UK Pounds so far, which would be a perfect price.

With my old G25's i did a modification to the brake pedal. Took it apart and crammed some foam inside where the spring is. It gives the brake far more resistance, well it feels like that, more pressure needed to make the brakes work, like a real car. If you leave the pedals standard, the brake, you can push down with your little finger and just doesnt cut it when late braking is concerned.
Whilst the pedals are apart i would give all 3 potentiometers a clean and blow out with some electrical cleaner. This helps loads when trying to calibrate the throttle and brake as an old dirty throttle pot will jump and shake around on the calibration screen, making driving precision a nightmare So worth doing if pots are abit shakey.
GT Legends would be my first choice. I reckon you could pick a copy up for cheaps. Ebay Item number

If you did go this route and wanted to play online, get onto Altbierbude, register and send the main man a private message asking for some dear help to get everything installed. Lengthy process but well worth it.
PM the moderator called 'derDumeklemmer' first. Say somebody called Pluginz sent you from far far away. He'll remember me. There are various other people you can PM once a member. Micha, B8man, Norbert Engelmann, Bordi, they will all remember me !
There is another good old friend on there you could also contact to get the online services running, and he may be able to link you up to some of the image files needed to get things started. His name is 'GeeDeeman' Also say Pluginz sent you. He will help you 100%.
Same process as the other Simbin games and sister sites.
Simraceway PC game was actually a free game when i played it. Not sure now but i dont see why not. This game, the company sell a wireless steering wheel which you hold in thin air. Doesnt work for me but alot of people like it

Cant not mention rFactor 2. That was the Formula 2 video link i sent. This is in constant development and as real as you can get for now. Tyre deformation like youve never seen. Track rubbers in. Green to start and rubber lines slowly work in after cars do laps.
I spent many years helping the devs improve rF2 when it first came out. I have many posts giving good and bad feedback on new features. Lifetime license was 56 UK Pounds. Good value. Get involved like

I could carry on but that should keep you going for abit
