    Does anyone play STAR WARS Empire at War Gold - Forces of Corruption?

    STAR WARS Empire at War Gold -> Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption -

    Trying to simply get the LAN portion to work so I can play head-to-head with my son.
    Just can't get it to work. No errors. Both W10 Pro.

    Other network games work just fine.

    Any ideas?

    TIA

    Check your firewall and network settings. There's usually a message that comes up when you first install and play a game that needs access like this. It reads something like "Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program: allow access, private network/public network". I think you can find it in that old Windows control panel which is burried somewhere. Make sure the game and its LAN features are allowed to run on a private network.

    @Faith -

    Yes, that was all done from the beginning.

    It does say LAN, so I am assuming that it would be OK on private but the retail game is from 2007.
    Hard to get information on it and I don't want to use Tunngle.

    Thanks.

    Nothing to do with the firewall. Try this fix.
    Game is Non-Steam (Retail) what would be the first step?
    Many avenues to try - PITA. Thanks.

    You own the game, you should be able to download from Steam with that license for install on both machines.

    Backup the machines and then go through the steps of deleting those directories that need to and then make sure both machines have the same install then the patch. LAN Party’s are something that can be a headache.

    I have Battlefront I and II so I`m no help, I`ve barley scratched the surface on either game, just so much to do in them both
