Rise and fall of Crysis
I always loved the game, and the first Far Cry
Can you run Crysis? I've heard they want to remake it for their new cryengine with ray tracing and everything. Imagine the horse power one would need to run it at max settings then.
Crazy they got it ported over to the x360 back in the day. Crysis is one of those games I played 'just' because of the technology. The story and things surrounding it was mediocre at best. The first part was fun, but I remembering it becoming very linear fast. I have not played the other games, but I heard they became more streamlined for console players.
I actually have all 3 Crysis games up and running on my Windows 10 machine. And if you've got a disk with the license code you can have them ported over to EA's Origin game platform....
Be aware you need to have a license number for each game ported. If you've got issues getting the key(s) to take you can call EA's tech support and they should be able to help provided you've got legitimate licenses keys. It's what I had to do get my Crysis games accepted.
Edit: And I absolutely LOVED the first Far Cry game. Haven't really seen anything like it since. Also hate the other "Far Cry" named games.
I played HL and its episodes so much it makes me sick just to start a game. That said, its a pity they never released HL3. That was a huge disservice to the fans of the game, especially after the way HL2: Episode 2 ended.
Anyway I guess we'll never get HL3. Too bad.
Yeah, same here—well, the first halves anyway. I played Far Cry 1 first half probably 8-10 times, but only finished it 2-3 times—the Trigen 2nd half was too much of a grind. I much preferred it to the other 2004 major release, Half Life 2—hugely impressive but not very enjoyable for me. Same with Crysis & Warhead, I replay every year but only finished each once if I recall correctly.
Crysis 2 & 3 I don't think I ever finished—just got too boring with all the mostly linear play. Still very impressive though.
