Want to record install card game data from very old CD to USB drive

I really don't know how old this Microsoft Bicycle Card Game CD is but would guess 10-15 years. I was able to install it on my Win 10 PC (ver 1903_OS Build 18362.295) because I have a Blu-ray/DVD drive but my wife's PC (ver 1903_OS Build 18362.295) doesn't. We need to install from USB drive.

I tried copying the data from the disc to a USB drive but when installing the install fails at a point where it says, "Media Authentication Failed, quitting setup". Not sure what that means but we do have the product key which was never prompted to key in on my PC. I tried making an ISO file but had the same install error.

Not sure what else to do.

    Any suggestions?

Suggests installing in compatibility mode e.g.

Presumably you mounted the iso which you created from the CD...

How did you create the iso?

It means there is a digital rights management check that requires the original physical CD to be present...

....there's probably some sort of hidden special sector on the CD that has not been included in the ISO you made. An ISO would have been my first suggestion. Did you make an ISO from the CD, or construct an ISO from the files it contains?

. The second suggestion is to get a USB DVD drive for your wife's PC.

Tried both & still get "Media Authentication Failed, quitting setup" error. Created ISO with ImgBurn software.

Probably right on both suggestions. Wife isn't that crazy about the games on the CD but was curious if it could be installed.

The iso appears to be downloadable here:
Microsoft Bicycle Card Games - Win95 (Eng) : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive
    - is that your game?

    Well, that was easy.

I downloaded it, Mounted it, ran Troubleshoot compatibility (XP) on setup.exe, fully installed and ran it.
