Open up the epic launcher, click on the library tab, select Fortnite and find the cog symbol on it and click uninstall.

Thank you, Faith. I did that, and I was advised by the Library that the game had been uninstalled. However, when I attempt to delete the Epic Games folder from C:\Program Files (x86), I am advised "Folder in use" and I am expected to close it before the folder can be removed. Is that a problem, or has the game actually been uninstalled?

The game is uninstalled afer you click uninstall. The Epic Games folder is used to store more games to. You can remove this if you want to uninstall the entire epic client.

    Uninstall Fortnite

As is usually the case, every time I seek, and receive assistance on this forum, I not only get my problem solved, I learn something more about my computer and its many mysteries.

Many thanks, both for your most welcome assistance, but also for helping me learn more about what's under the hood.
