Windows 10 1903: Slow and Crashes on Gameplay

    Good afternoon
Has anyone else seen sluggishness and game crashes in 1903?

I haven't. And I posted about my game play last night as I played Tom Clancy's The Division 2 for about 3 hours. No issues. And I did the 1903 update the day before. Also gave Mass Effect and Dragon Age a go. Still no issues, performance or otherwise.

What games are you having issues with? What are your system specs?

NOTE: I also play other games like The Witcher 3, Darksiders 2, DragonAge Inquisition and others. But I did not test those. As I had problems in the games that I use most, I came back soon to version 1709.

It's really impossible for us to determine what "sluggishness" is to you considering we aren't using your PC and have no idea of what it was doing before.

With that, I would suggest you have (get) the latest patches and drivers for your PC and games whenever upgrading your OS. Particularly graphic card drivers.

You might also make sure you aren't running out storage space where both you OS and games are installed. Low disk space can also slow performance, especially where SSD drives are concerned.

so you reverted back to 1709? that won't really help us when it comes to giving you suggestions on fixing the issues on the latest build.,

It's probably low disk space as sygnus21 suggested when you upgraded.. it's pretty common having to run disk cleanup to clean up all the Windows upgrade/updates files and freeing up space on your SSD.

    Good Morning...

Well, I did a clean install of 1903. And so far, I haven't had any more problems. I will keep an eye on it. Thanks

Might also be Microsoft's fix for the exploits for Intel's Hyper Threading (Zombieload, RIDL and Fallout), I believe it affects performance by as much as 10% in certain cases.
