Looks like it's UPlay and Epic Store only. No Steam.
I still need to get around to playing Wildlands. It looks like a lot of fun. I think I'll fire that up if I ever finish AC Odyssey.
I have to use euros on Uplay, making it more expensive than it should for me. And Uplay points doesn't work on new titles either to get better deals (just tested it). So no Breakpoint for me in the near future.
And screw Epic and their bs exclusivity deals… They're literally buying out the competition to form their own imperium. Release games to everyone, everywhere. Let me as the consumer decide where and what platform I want to use. This 88/12 revenue split Epic got going doesn't make sense for big AAA publishers like Ubisoft either, it just makes them look like greedy a-holes, especially since Wildlands is available on Steam. And now it's highly likely Epic is going to pull out more games off of Steam because they've bought out Psyonix, not to mention trying to kill Linux Proton support. Limiting choice like this is not something I support. They should instead spend their precious Fortnite money to create exclusive games, not buy existing titles and franchises away from other stores... Their greed and aggressive behavior will be remembered.
Cinematic trailers doesn't give me anything, so I don't have much to say about it. But I do have Wildlands so I expect it to be very similar. I got a free trial version a year ago and recently upgraded it to the full vesion. It's a fun game - albeit very repetitive (Ubisoft fatigue) -. It's one of those that's "better with friends" for sure. I've heard this one will have more emphasis on survival so that can go either both ways. Going with how Wildlands was handled, it probably will be a competent game.
couldn't agree more. i personally can't deduct anything about a game from its trailer ...
