    Why did Roblox install itself?

Yesterday this new app just appeared and installed itself.
    It's called Roblox.
I had never heard of it before, but I see it is some sort of gaming app.
I don't have any games on my system and I can't imagine why it installed itself without asking for permission.
I uninstalled it without starting it.
Anyone know about this sort of thing?

My app store libraries says I purchased it yesterday.
I don't remember doing any such thing.

I think I know the reason. I had Updates paused because of all the mess and yesterday I heard that things were OK with the Tuesday Patches. Moreover, the fixes were for some audio stuff I used. So I re-enabled Windows Update and I guess this sort of crap just comes in for free.
I don't know why it says I purchased it, though.
Is there some way to opt out of this stuff?

The purchased (some time) thing is extremely misleading.

It does it even for free apps. After some head scratching I came to the conclusion that it just means it was either updated or installed.

But of course that does not explain how it came to be on your system if there was no action on your part.

I turned off Store updates permanently by the way for two main reasons: 1. I do not use the Store and 2. I do not want these updates.

If I ever have need to update something I do it manually.

The reason is you are sabotaging your version of Windows 10.
You can opt for Manual Updates in the MS Store which is a standard feature.

Weird. Windows Update doesn't install applications from the store as far as I know. Microsoft does install updates or apps that's within the store workspace automatically though, and will sometimes give you "free" versions of games that are shown as "purchased" (like Candy Crush) on your account, but they should not be installed. They may be suggested or shown as a tile, but it shouldn't be installed on your computer. I don't see Roblox on any of my machines and they are all set to get automatic updates, both from WU and the store.

Roblox is a game that a lot of kids play. It's almost like a mix of Minecraft and Lego. If you have kids that have access to your computer, that may explain things a bit.

It's a very common thing this, Games and Apps that pay Microsoft can and will ship with updates, so you install an update from windows update, chances are Microsoft have tried to install a free game or app along with it.
