    microsoft ultimate word games

microsoft ultimate word games reset my progress back to level 1.
Couldn't get it back by cloud save since that one was reset as well.

So I cheated a bit. My windows preview computer didn't have cloud saving on so I went (in explorer)
on the preview puter to C:\users\myname\appdata\local\packages
and copied the whole microsoft.studios.wordament_XXXXXX folder to my share folder.
I just replaced my main puters folder with that one .
It got back 90% of the saved games.

Due to a problem with the cloud I just hit the same problem.
Nobody at Microsoft Xbox or Windows 10 Support could offer any solution. "The files are not accessible. They are hidden."

Did your solution work for Jumble, Crosswords, and Daily Challenges as well as Wordament?

Not for daily Challenges but all the rest.
It had to be done from the hidden Administrator mode with show hidden files set to on,
    and hide system files unchecked.
Be sure to reboot before trying the games.

    Worked well for me.
    Only lost 1 day's challenges.

    Thank you.

I know that this post is very old but this just happened to me. All progress has been reset to level 1. I will do whatever it takes to get my progress back. I may have misunderstood the post but is it possible to get my progress back if I have never played Ultimate word games on any other PC?

I found the microsoft.studios.wordament_XXXXXX folder, but I am not sure what you mean by copying it to my share folder and "I just replaced my main puters folder with that one"?

if you can, I misunderstood your question.
If you haven't used MUWG on another computer or your cloud copy is corrupt , your pretty much out of luck.
You must have a copy of the folder from "another Computer" as the one you have has been reset.

If that other computer has not been online then it wont have been reset and can be used.

I have several computers not online which is where I got the copy from.

I use macrium Reflect to image my drive these days so if it happens again I can just restore the image .
Rather then go to all that trouble.

If you have a image or a restore point before this happened you can probably restore and get it back.
