Linux can work great with games, problem is finding games that will run on it. 3D games have to be written from the ground up to run on Linux so hardly anyone does it. There was a version of Quake way back when that ran natively on Linux with nVidia graphics, it ran well. That's the one and only time I've played a big box game on Linux.
In any case I'm not having any issue with Win10 1809 and the games I've run. Seems to do fine, but I did shut off all that game bar and game dvr nonsense. Not sure if it makes any difference, but I don't need that stuff so I don't want it hooking into my games. I don't know since I shut it off, but could be where a lot of the complaints come from with games on win10.
