How Can I Completely Uninstall a PC Game?

Today I installed a game (metal gear Solid V) on my PC. After that I also installed DirectX from 2013 but didnt know how old it was until last minute. Since I cant uninstall DirectX I decided to do a rollback of my PC to yesterday. I then wanted to uninstall MGSV. But when I look in the MGSV directory, the uninstall package is gone. So do I just delete the directory or what do i do?

Revo Uninstaller has a forced uninstall mode. You browse to any exe file left as part of the program and let Revo scan.

Not guaranteed to find everything- may need to repeat.

Another way: reinstall it, monitored by Revo Pro. Then uninstall it starting with the monitored installation from Revo.

Another way: reinstall it, then uninstall it starting with Revo Uninstaller.

You shouldn't just delete a folder- there will be other folders, start menu entried, registry entries, possibly drivers, services........

You could just reinstall MGSV then uninstall it properly either using the standard Control Panel uninstaller or Revo as suggested.

Possible free license for Revo Pro:
Revo Uninstaller Pro License for Free - Uninstall Stubborn Programs
    - might just be in time

There's no need to use some software. First of all, you need to delete the game in Windows Settings in Programs and Software. Then go to the disk space, where the game was installed. Most of people just skip this settings and all games are installed in Program Files (x86). Find the folder with the name of the game and delete it. Some games create save files in Documents, so you may need to delete it too.

Could I ask how that deals with other folders under the user profile that might have been created, and registry keys? Start men shortcuts?

Simply deleting program folders is almost guaranteed to leave lots of debris.

The point of 3rd party uninstallers is they scan for the various parts of the program. Sadly some program authors do not necessarily configure their uninstall process effectively.

Well, maybe you're right. Personally, I used the way I described and I had no problem with deleted games.
I haven't any experience with games which left some hidden files or services.
