Anyone besides @specialkone playing the new Battlefield Game. I was just wondering about any bugs as well as how is the single player mode?
I will be getting it closer to Xmas. It took a long time for Dice to sort the optimization of BF1 out. It suffered from heavy CPU bottlenecking initially. About maybe 8 months later it was totally optimized and now it runs like butter. Part of the reason I've stalled on BFV is to allow some optimization to take place rather than diving right in. There have already been one or two patches I believe. I've not heard too much about how BFV runs but if it is anything like BF1 the optimization is a slow process.

My guess is most of Nvidia/DICE BFV optimization efforts are being focused on improving ray tracing performance. Originally with BFV beta, 60FPS was only being achieved at ultra settings with a 2080TI at 1080P.

"Alongside the Battlefield V Tides of War Chapter 1 release tomorrow on the 4th of December, DICE will bring an update towards Battlefield V. A new patch 'should' be good news for GeForce RTX owners as the patch would bring an up-to 50% performance increase on DX-R (Raytracing).
If all is true it could enable gamers to play "Battlefield V" with DXR enabled at a1440p resolution while gaming with 60 fps averages. The DXR preset would be with the Ultra setting as a video explains. With a GeForce RTX 2070 or 2080, you would be able to play 2560x1440 at 60 FPS averages on the DXR medium setting. NVIDIA mentions specifically that it is continuing to work with DICE to improve DXR performance even more. "

Upcoming DICE Battlefield V patch would get NVIDIA RTX 50% performance gains

Personally I'll want to see Gamers Nexus' review. I suspect Steve Burke will expose any "short cuts", if there are any, to achieve this additional RT performance.

Yes the patch is out along with the Last Tiger War Story. Man blowing things up with these tanks is fun. Wish I could find a Tiger in PUBG. Maybe then I could get a couple of kills.

Those settings make sense to me with your rig but why do you use windowed borderless? I assume it is because you run a multi monitor setup.
