I have used Steam for 14 years, and it's great. Origin is getting better, and Uplay is better that what people rate it. I also use Battle.net all of them are good and dont use a lot of resources

If you have good bandwidth its not an issue, and you dont need a disc to play games. Disc can be lost, your Steam library is always there

Single player hasn't died. I just played Hitman 2 and Assassin's Creed Odyssy, both single player.

I do not want any game, even if they give it away for free, unless it is on steam.
If they wanted to discontinue steam, I would be willing to pay monthly just to keep it alive.
