Destiny 2 was hot garbage at launch; Predatory business plans by the publisher, undocumented altering in experience points, a holiday dawning event that got remembered as one of the worst seasonal events in history, loot boxes and gambling concerns, content locked behind DLC, tokens not working and items with vague information. And this is just a fracture of it. No wonder people left the collision course called Destiny. Clearly the mistakes made by Bungie and Activision created an impact on users, thus sales. A free gift of the game to try and get players back makes sense to me. If their mistakes is justified and changed for the better is unclear, but it's now free for a period so I may aswell try it and see for myself to make a second opinion. Everyone deserves a second chance… Or in this case, chance #42.
