October Update Game Bar System Information

The Game Bar is now supposed to show information such as FPS, CPU usage, RAM usage, etc. However mine shows none of this. I understand my system is not the latest but there is still a dedicated GPU in there so would think that aspect would work. Just wondering if anyone else is having this issue.

Also if anyone knows of any hardware monitoring that works within Windows app games I'd appreciate the info. Afterburner or Precision have to be off completely for the game to run and in the past their OSD's would not show in MS games. Even the open hardware monitor gadget set to "always on top" will not work.

Mine everything is in a vertical strip combined and there is no performance area. It is the October update design though.

seems microsoft forgot they removed Dedicate resources on the game bar in 17751 build and listed it as a feature oct 2

    https://www.neowin.net/news/microso...1-to-the-fast-ring-with-a-ton-of-improvements

"Thanks everyone who tried out and shared feedback about the performance visualizations we added to the game bar with Build 17692. We’re taking them offline for now to re-evaluate the best possible approach going forward and work on giving you a great gaming experience on your PC."

and was never mentioned again until

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/win...ew-wip-at-home

    "Game mode improvements
New options are now available for Game Mode that are expected to improve the gaming experience on desktop PCs. Gamers on PCs with many background processes may also see performance improvements when they toggle Dedicate resources in Game bar."

there is no such option. cause they never added it back in

I'm on 1809 and none of that is in the Game Bar.
Some supposed new features never materialise, best not look at people running test versions.

If you want to know if your system is capable then look in Task Manager, if your GPUs are showing then OK.

As a further check run DXDIAG > Display Tab, that will tell you the WDDM supported if that is 2.0 or greater OK.
An Intel 4xxx series should just about make it.

Great info, thanks @dskiller. I was searching for answers quickly and could not find a thing. Good that I'm getting accurate W10 information on Tenforums rather than from MS. Thank you for the help @Helmut and @Dude.
