    Steam game issue

How do I fix this problem??

    "Failed to initialize Direct3D.
Make sure you have at least DirectX 9.0c installed, have drivers for your
graphics card and have not disabled 3D acceleration
    in display settings.
    InitializeEngineGraphics failed"

What game? This message means that your Direct 3D is corrupted, outdated/unsupported or misconfigured. Can also be a c++ runtime error within the game itself causing issues. Don't forget to update your signature with your PC specs.

    Open Start and search dxdiag.
Run the dxdiag.exe and click yes to run the diagnostic tool.
Click on display and see if Direct 3D and DirectDraw acceleration is enabled.
Take note on driver model, feature levels and additional notes aswell.

Download DirectX End-User Runtimes (March 2009) from Official Microsoft Download Center

Reinstall the runtime redistributable files used for your game. It should be included in the game's installation folder under vcredist or _CommonRedist, or locate them on Microsoft website. Depending on the game, different versions may be used.

Update your graphics driver. Go to Asus' website and find your laptop model and check if there's an updated graphics driver for your device. Use the dxdiag above to compare the version you have installed and the available driver.
