MS Window 10 Home vs. MS Links 2003

    Hi folks,

I have decided to play some golf on my PC and pulled out my old copy of Links 2003. After installation, on launch it gave me the this error message:
"Please insert the Links 2003 CD #1 in your CD-ROM drive."

    Then it showed another message:
"Links 2003 cannot verify your disk. Please refer to the README for further information."

I have downloaded and installed Links 2003 v. 1.07 Final from Links 2003 v1.07 Update | Links Country Club

I have also copied and replaced the "Rukshuk.exe" in the main installation folder.

Why am I still getting this error message?

    My rig consist of:
    Window 10 Home
    Intel Core i5 6600k
    16GB RAM
    Asus Maximus Hero VIII
    nVidia GeFore 1060
    various SDDs.

Been a long time since I did any XP stuff, but it's looking for the activation data on the "CD" to get it going. Best I can remember.

    Hi f14,
Based on my searches around the place, this has nothing to do with the CD activation. It's something specific with Win10...
