    game Started Crashing in past 12 hours or so.

    Fallout4 was fine yesterday, now it keeps crashing to desktop? What had windows done overnight??? 6 times in past 3 hours

    Are you running the game via Steam? If so...Verify game cache files (Steam) inXile Entertainment

    As the Chief says, verify the game cache files first. Are you running the game in fullscreen or windowed mode as well? It'll be easier to help when we know which one you're running in as Fallout 4 is notorious for crashing when in fullscreen mode for some reason.

    good point on the verify files, I'd forgotten that one. Yes, in full screen mode.

    edit: successful validation, next time running will check out windowed mode
