    Windows 10 fall update - gaming/fps drop

    Hello!

Today i got the windows fall updated.
i played just fine most of the day, i noticed my pc acts a bit slower but it didn't really bother me.
Then out of nowhere, my fps in overwatch dropped, was really unplayable, i updated my drivers etc. it was a mess, didn't work.
I decided to re-roll back, everything went back to be perfect, no fps drop, everything worked just fine.
Then.. my pc decided to update the april update once again. and i did..
AND boom, fps drop all over the place. can't play at all.
    It mostly happens in Overwatch.
so i re-rolled again and disabled updates, work just fine, no issues.
    Any idea what to do?

If you have Pro, you can defer the Features Update to 1803 (the April 2018 Update) for up to 365 days.

Windows Update - Defer Feature and Quality Updates in Windows 10

In Home (and Pro) you can hide the 'Features Update to Windows 10, version 1803'.

Hide or Show Windows Updates in Windows 10

Either method will let you continue to get all the Quality Updates (that's the cumulative updates and other fixes).

Deferring or hiding just the update to 1803 will let you continue to get all other updates for 1709. You'll still get the security and cumulative updates for as long as 1709 is supported. That will be until 9 April 2019.

Hopefully before that the gaming problems in 1803 will be fixed and you'll be able to update to it. Your gaming friends will probably tell you if/when it's OK to update :)

    Thanks, i did it :).
But, the new april update isn't needed for like games such as overwatch/black desert, etc?
(Sorry i suck at these things).
As in, if i don't do this april update, i won't have issues playing games as i used to?
