Microsoft! Please reinstate Games Explorer!

This very useful and much used feature has been removed in Version 1803.
Another example of corporate arrogance?
Why was this done and why can't we have it back.

Needless to say, I'll be sticking on 1709 ad infinitum.

I have the games and I have Games Explorer. Been running them since Windows 8.
If Microsoft won't reinstate Games Explorer then unless someone comes up with an OEM solution I won't be upgrading to Version 1803 any time soon.

Every Version Upgrade takes those games out, have seen a Build update do it. To that end I keep that downloaded file on every computer I want the games on and for a couple of clients. Doesn't take long to do the reinstall. I deselect the Internet versions, can't say if they still work.

The internet versions do indeed work.

Get Windows 7 games for Windows 10 provides the version which I have.
The games themselves are not the issue.

The issue about those games has existed through a few Version Upgrades, first saw it with Version 1511 [November 2015] and in the Insider Preview [formerly Technical Preview back in 2014]. The Version Upgrades since have always taken them out so I just reinstall, I have 6 to 10 minutes available to do so.

Some of the new games from the Store aren't too bad but there's really not many that fit the description. Some have to be paid for to have extraneous material [ads] removed and to get higher levels of skill.
