Problem starting games since the 1803 update

    I agree with xtcrefugee. I think your graphics device is closing making Steam and Origin think you don't have a compatible GPU. You should definitely try out the hotfix driver as it seems to fit your issue. You need to manually download it, GFE doesnt pick it up because it's not a signed driver. I should also mention that Windows build 1803 can be very sensitive and prone to break because it's fairly new, and it's also riddled with issues. I believe there will be a cumulative update May 8th, maybe that can fix some.

    I do leave it running continuously. I'd better try the newer one then - so long as it's OK for this system. I'm not sure how I'd check that though.

    OK, I've just downloaded and run the recommended one and I see it does it's own system check - so that should be fine. I'll wait a while and see if that does the trick and report back later. Thanks to all so far.

    The new driver appears to have done the trick - no problems so far - so I hope we can call this one closed.
