    Microsoft games lost

Accidentally deleted Microsoft free games collection.

Is there any way to restore them without needing to revert to an earlier version of Windows 10? Or needing to do a fresh installation?

    See if this tutorial helps...

If you uninstalled an app for all user accounts, then this will not reinstall the app.

If you are not able to reinstall your app, then you will need to install your app from the Microsoft Store instead.

Yes, if @Mustang meant the Win7 games rather than their Win10 replacements, then they are automatically deleted by an update to a new version of Windows (like from 1703 to 1709). That's because Microsoft have declared them to be deprecated in Windows 10.

I got tired of always re-installing these games for a little old lady that hates change. I told her to just get these games from the MS store and live with their advertisements or pay a little to get rid of the adverts.

I have the WinXP versions on my machine, copied from my old XP box. Those never get deleted. :) In addition to the .exe and .chm files you need cards.dll. No install needed, just put them in a folder and run them.

I just set up my 'old' WinXP computer [brought it in from my storage shed], guess I will go get those files. Actually that will probably be easier than extracting from the install CD and the 'path' to where they are and may need to be will be available.

I'll save you the effort if you like - I followed @Brees instructions and copied this lot from a VM (didn't bother with help files)...
