Far Cry Primal works with wired XB1 controller, but not Bluetooth

So, I just bought and installed Far Cry Primal from UPlay. I fired it up for the first time with my Xbox One controller paired via Bluetooth. Game doesn't accept input from it. So I started a new game anyway, unpaired the controller and re-paired it, then Alt-tabbed back into the game. I get a message saying the controller isn't recognized, but it shows up in the game's controller menu. If I unpair and plug it in via MicroUSB then it just works.

What gives here? Any fix? I would assume my game is already up to date.

    Thanks!

Edit: My controller is a 100% original Microsoft XB1. I know there are companies that sell controllers that are certified to work, but still aren't the real deal. I also bought the battery pack. A microUSB cable wasnt included, i use a red fiber braided 6 feet Anker PowerLine cable, extremely tough and durable. I don't own the console.

Unfortunately, it seems to be a common issue, dating back to when the XBox One S was first released. Despite the controller working on every other Ubisoft game for me, it seems like Primal just doesn't support it, for some reason, even though it shows up as "Bluetooth XInput compatible controller" in the Far Cry Primal settings.

The last post I can find on the issue is from May of last year with no solution in sight. Connecting the controller via MicroUSB seems to be the only way to play Primal with this controller.

@blackroseMD1: I'm not sure what model I have, it may be the S, maybe not. Is the S the newest model? The one I bought was just a controller and a battery pack (sold separately), and some non-rechargeable lithium ion batteries. The cable wasnt included either. I almost thought I would need to get the separate Bluetooth dongle, but apparently that is only needed for older models.

I have an idea, maybe there is an XB1 controller emulator out there. Like X360ce. Maybe it's possible to use something like that to trick the game into believing that a Bluetooth XB1 controller is really a wired 360 controller. I havent tried it yet but I'll test tonight or tomorrow. Although really, this is something that Ubisoft should be addressing.

XBOX One X is the latest console. If XOX users are having problems with it as well then it's definitely the game.
