How do I stop x box streaming or remove it I want to use PC mover to move files etc. to new pc it says that I should shut down all running programs to do transfer of files seeing that Microsoft say that you should use this program to do transfers you would think they would give an easy way to turn this off

What program are you using to move this data?

If it's just running in the background and you aren't transferring it, I wouldn't bother with it and continue with what you were doing.

I am using laplink pc mover pro which is Microsofts recommended software As I am not interested in gaming I do not want it running and using the internet all the time I see it as another way that someone will find a way to use it to get in into peoples computers

I can almost say for certain that Microsoft does not recommend just LaplinkPC Mover Pro. In fact, until this very post, I have never heard of the tool/software. Where did you read that claim?

You are fine to leave the Xbox app and for it to operate on your computer. There is nothing to be worried about it. However, if you wish to remove the stress of it being on your PC, you can remove it with a PowerShell command:

LapLink has been around many years but one usually does do better using the special USB cable that comes with it between the 2 computers.
