Here I am, taking 5 seconds off my best time on one of the tracks I made... Sawtooth Summit
Here I am taking a shortcut. Those two monolith looking things in the distance (RED dot), are the check point.
I'm supposed to be going across that bridge to the left of the vehicle.
I made a total of 12 tracks. In the pic just above, all of those tracks showing, are ones I made.
Making the tracks was pretty easy. They had a track editor. And a PodTool. You would use the PodTool to open a POD, and you could extract all the objects and textures. You could also use another program called ZModel, to make your own objects (models). You could make your own textures too, in any decent image editor.
Then you just imported the objects and textures into the track editor and went to work, building your track on a sort of graph paper world. You could change elevations too.
When you got the track built and all the objects placed... you then put collision blocks around the objects if you wanted. That way they became a solid object in the game. The collision blocks were just like these translucent 3D rectangles, that you could resize in 3 directions (axes).
LOL... On a 20 year old CD, I just found the "map" for the Sawtooth Summit track. The numbers are the check point, and the gaps are where the bridges are. This is from the track editor...
I found the map for the Emerald Atoll track, showing all the short cuts. This track is completely surrounded by water, so all the shortcuts are pretty much blind jumps over water. I put posts to mark where the jumps were, to give people some idea of where to jump from.
Here's me, taking the shortcut between check point 6 and 7, on the Emerald Atoll track...
And another shortcut. The one between check point 9 and 10.
Here's one of the tracks that came with the game... Crazy 2000.
Check point 3 is right in front of the concrete thing. This gives you an idea of the speed you'll be driving...
Here's a screen shot of the "ghost truck", you can follow. The ghost truck drives the fastest lap you've ever done on a specific track.
Here's another track that came with the game. I set it for 3 computer drivers (you can set for up to 7).
This is a screen shot right off the starting line.
Here's a few screen shots of another one of my tracks...
The track just above is called Road Kill. The fastest time I EVER did on this track is 37.9 seconds.
I just ran this, today...
This one came with the game. It's called Construction Junction...
Everything you need to run this on Windows 10/11 (with instructions), plus all the custom tracks and copies of my souped up Chevy Race SUV, and all my fastlaps and hotlaps, is in one download, here...

Finished Resonance Of Fate, with the help of cheat. It's a masterpiece but a difficult jrpg game.
Now playing Chrono Cross: The Radical Dreamers Edition, another popular jrpg game.
@specialkone, nice landing
I've never played any flight simulators. I did have a copy of MS Flight simulator 4.0, forgot (forgot how I got it) but it looked too complicated for me at the time.
That said, I did play space sims like FreeSpace, Descent (3), and Independence War. In fact, I still my Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 joystick in it's original box. It's burried out in the garage somewhere otherwise I'd post an image of it
Pfft... anyone can fly a plane. I mean... what are ya gonna hit? A cloud?
Now this is a bit more complicated... (this is one of the tracks I made)
I didn't make the models. I just "placed" them.
I made the... ground, track and mountain "textures", and in short... designed the track.
It just "looks" easy when I do it.
This is what I'm driving...
