Best of all... in all these games, I can have party members, or not. I'm not "forced" to do anything.
No cameras, no weird control schemes, well thought out stories, quests, side quests, puzzles.

I'm not addicted to games... I am addicted to "good" games.

Done with Yakuza Kiwami 2, it's the best yakuza series made although yakuza 0 was the best for me.
Taking a day break and starting Yakuza Like A Dragon. This one is different from all the Yakuza games i have played
because of complete difference characters and it's JRPG.

I'm now playing 4x4 Evolution (4x4 racing game). I finally found a patch to make it work on Windows 10.
I'm stoked. The game comes with 16 tracks, and I have 50 more... 13 of which I created myself, back in the day.

I had to translate the patch directions from Portuguese.

This is my 1240 HP Chevy Race SUV, that I built using parts purchased with all my Career Mode wins....

Best of all... I got it to work with my Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick.

If anyone thinks they're awesome enough... here's my Hotlaps folder.
Just unzip and drop it into the game folder... then you can race against them (via ghost lap), if desired.

Here's one of the tracks (sawtooth Summit), I made. You can actually race the blimp.

In the game folder, they are the ones that are called T(number).
These are all circuit tracks. All you have to do is go through the check points in order.
Other than that.... you can drive where ever you want. Take any shortcuts, etc.

On one of the tracks (Emerald Atoll), I marked the shortcuts with two posts sticking up.
Just drive at full speed (with one of the race trucks), through the posts, and you will hit the shortcut.
The regular trucks, might not be fast enough to make some of the... jumps.

If you're lazy like me... here's the gold cheat command.

Vehicles like the Chevy Race SUV in the pic, are $850K "before" you add the go fast parts, which add up to another $250K. It'll be about a year before you acquire that much gold in Career Mode.
And that's assuming you play this game about 6-8 hours a day... every day.

The game works with keyboard, mouse, joystick, or controller.

Well, I bought a slightly lower horsepower truck for those smaller tracks...

on steam was a perfect sale of "Mafia".... man, that's a really awesome game, the "Boardwalk Empire"-feelings are back.

All 3 games for 30 bucks.... that's really awesome.

I really enjoyed that whole series. I know a lot of people hated on 3, but I had a blast with that game, and it's got one of the best video game death scenes I've ever seen.

I just got my Steam Deck and I've been loading it up with some of my Steam games, along with setting it up for Xbox Cloud Gaming and throwing some emulators on there.

Currently playing Elden RIng on it, and it's running a lot better than I expected.

I just finished one of the 20 lap races in the Endurance Series. Namely, Motorcross... my favorite track.
I lapped the computer drivers, 4 times.

Nice wide dirt tracks, which I know by heart. 12 checkpoints on this one.

I don't have the map ON when I drive, and I use the cockpit view. Obviously I don't see the big black PAUSE square.
Everything else... is what I see when I drive.

This is what I see. A lot of folks "think" the view where you can see the whole vehicle is the way to drive.
That may be true for some race games. In this game if you wanna win, you use the "cockpit" view, like this....

Feel free to try to beat my best lap times. I included all my hot laps in the dropbox file.
You can race against a hotlap. You'll see my ghost truck, which you can follow and try to beat.

Ofc, when you buy the Chevy Race SUV, it doesn't have 1240 HP... you need to buy go fast parts, to get there.
Btw... this is a the fastest vehicle in the game.

Shopping for parts isn't hard... the game explains all the parts... etc.

You definitely want a joystick or game controller to drive these vehicles. They go... FAST.
I can get than Chevy Race SUV up to about 180 on a straight-a-way.

You can buy from these manufacturers...

Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, Lexus, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota.

You can also change all these settings for each race if you want to...

The game only comes with 15 tracks.
