Finished up Dying Light 2 a few days ago and then couldn't figure out what to play next.
Finally took the plunge yesterday and bought Elden Ring. Time really flies for me when I'm playing it. Fired it up and next thing I know it's 6 hours later and time for bed. I'm enjoying it so far.
The Last of Us part 2 for just €20,- and part 1 (remastered!) for just €10,-. How could I pass this up? Bought both for my PS4!
Finished Pillars of Eternity and just started Pillars of Eternity II.
PoE II is a cut scene catastrophe, and has horrible loading times. Other than that... it's pretty good.
Pillars of eternity are good rpg games, but i'm not up to it. Another good rpg game that is similar you might
be interested > -35%

The kinds of RPGs I like...
Isometric view
few if any camera controls
nothing like armies
main movement and attack controls via a normal 3 button mouse
I usually build a fighter with swords or axes
I don't like when the story overloads the game.
I just want an RPG that allows me to go out and kill some monsters or bad guys when I'm in the mood.
I definitely don't like being forced into a certain path.
I like games with cheat consoles built in, cause sometimes I don't want to spend 30 minutes planning on how to kill a spider.

Well... Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II... get a big thumbs down from me.
Lots of... "we'll decide what type of character you will play", and just all around bad RPG in my opinion.

The ONLY good Divinity game was the very first one... Divine Divinity. The three or four follow up games, just don't cut it.
About to install and check out Pathfinder: Kingmaker now. Well, that game just got nixed also.
It's called Pathmaker: Kingmaker, but apparently it should be called Pathmaker: KingDOMmaker.
Sorry... but I don't need any "kingdom building" in my RPG.
Tomorrow I'm gonna try: Neverwinter Nights 2, and Torment: Tides of Numenera

Here's a list of the games I've loved, and have played over and over, down the years...
The Icewind Dale games, the Baldur's Gate games, Planescape Torment.
NOX and Revenant were... OK.
Doom and Doom II were awesome. The original Unreal was fantastic.
4x4 Evolution (driving game), Microsoft's Combat Flight Simulator WWII Europe Series (needs facelift).
Microsoft Links 2003 (golf).
Diablo II, ofc. The original Zelda. Pillars of Eternity, was OK, but too short.
Tower of Time (new game), was surprisingly good.
Arcanum was OK, but it needs a facelift.
That's about it
There were quite a few other games, that would have made my list, but they started requiring folk to be able to type 100wpm for the controls. :/
Maybe I'm gettin' old.
