Started playing "Control Ultimate Edition" tonight.
Just bought Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and it runs on my PC at Medium graphics.
It is very real world accurate including local ATC (Air Traffic Control), real world weather, and covers very accurately real world topography (buildings, roads & ect)
So, I could take off from the local airport, buzz my cabin at an illegally low altitude and even land a seaplane on the lake that I can see from my cabin
It's accurate over the whole world. My definition of "Middle of Nowhere" is Kwajalein Atoll about ½ way between Hawaii and the Philippines. The airstrip runs the whole length of one of the biggest above water parts of the Atoll, but it's there.... Airstrip & all and you can even fly out of it AND MS Flight Simulator can search for it (and find it)
To define "Middle of Nowhere" there is one of those sign posts outside the terminal building at Bucholz Army Airfield with arrows pointing to Sydney, Tokyo and Harold's Club with distance in the hundreds or more
One thing.... You will need a Flight Control System (fancy joystick that also controls rudder & throttle and a nice bonus is plenty of switches for flaps and etc). They are selling out.... Mine arrives mid September

Wasteland 3. Only about 15 mins into it, but not too bad so far.
Oh, I didn't see it as sarcasm. Of course you can play whatever you want, but for me I can't support this behavior with good conscious. I always vote with my wallet when companies tries something dumb, and that goes beyond gaming companies too. But whatever my position is on that, you do you.
I found an alternative way (22:20) to kill everybody without ever entering the area. Done it twice, the last on challenging. Afterwards, go in and shut down the auto turrets. Easy peasy yet cheesy but works
At any rate, you can easily dodge the mortars by paying attention to the ground. Once it turns red you have about a second or two to move before the explosion. Obviously this is a keep it moving mission so you'll want either a strong weapon or armor build. I'd opt for armor as I think it's more effective there.
BTW, I just set my Global settings to challenging so all game play is at the challenge level now.
Anyway, I'll continue with the game until the Outer Worlds DLC releases in Sept. Love that game and can't wait for the DLC.
