Yeah I was kind of worried about game performance since owners of RVII card were reporting crash and performance issues. Happy to report I've never seen a crash or performance dip thus far. It really is a fun game and I love the sound effects, especially weapons' fire. Have to wear headphones or the wife & neighbors complain about gunshots

Trying out a new game called American Fugitive. It's a top down game that clearly has taken inspiration from the old GTA games and it's a lot of fun so far.

You start out in prison framed for a crime you didn't commit and you break out to try to find the person that did it. You have to try to keep a low profile, obey laws etc. or the cops are all over you and you'll end up back in prison and lose. It's definitely hitting some nostalgia buttons for me.

What, you once broke out of prison?

(just kidding). The game sounds like fun and the graphics look good going by the screenshot. Is this an offshoot of GTA?

Not so much an offshoot, but definitely inspired by the old games. The gameplay is pretty good, although getting used to the driving takes a minute. The police AI can be a bit wonky at times, but the game just came out 5 days ago, so I expect a patch to fix that soon. It's got some real laugh out loud moments in it too.

I enjoyed it enough in the first half hour that I knew I was going to keep it, despite having bought it based off one Kotaku review alone.

I was kind of like that with The Division 2. I got the game for free with my GPU purchase, but didn't think it was my cup of tea and was going to give the game away; after playing a few missions I'm glad I kept it. Fun game.
