Same number of players, I think. They are just broken up into teams. There may be 100 players, but you are actually playing maybe 25 teams.

Yep, I can confirm that part. What I don't get is in what real world battle scenario is someone thrown (parachuted) into battle with absolutely no weapons? I tried solo last night. Parachuted to where I saw a little town. I land and notice I have no weapons. Run around trying to find some or one. Go into a little shed or whatever and someone is in there and kills me. Exit to the lobby to go for another match and then decide to play SOTTR instead. I could have made a PUBG video but it would have been 15 seconds LOL.
I assume one should avoid the towns until weapons are found but what do I know. Haven't fired a shot yet. I would need a weapon to do that.
8 feet away and he had a submachine gun, CountMike. Obviously he knew where to get weapons.
The towns are where most weapons are. You have to get in quick. Here is some info on the game
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds - Wikipedia
It's based off this movie

Thanks dude. Ya, I read that Wiki article. So stay in the towns to get the weapons. OK will give it another try. Don't see why everyone doesn't have a similar weapon loadout at start. It is a First Person Shooter for pete's sake.
Oh, yeah, 3rd person. Figure I'll remember that once I actually get a weapon in my hands.
