That's what the government commercials say. They also show "potential" winners buying ridiculously expensive things most can't afford like villas in the south of Europe, yachts, a Bugatti and Jags. I should tell them they need to add Nvidia RTX 2080 TI's to their commercials.
Ain't that the truth!!! I just priced up the RX2070 - my wife laughed and said NO CHANCE!

You've played it before? You're in for a treat if you haven't

Of course you have. For some reason I couldn't change to the next thread page.

@Kol12 Just letting you know that the standby memory bug may've been fixed as of 26th of September. Look at this note:

Addresses an issue that ignores the MM_DONT_ZERO_ALLOCATION flag. This issue leads to degraded performance, and, occasionally, error 0x139 appears.
This is a direct flag for the memory controller and its allocations. If you're on build 17134.320 you should have this fix.

@Faith I'm on build 17134.285, am I missing an update?

There is talk of this standby stuff on Nvidia forums I noticed and Wagnard (DDU) apparently has some tool for it. I haven't investigated it yet but if it's been fixed by MS then that's cool...

You need to manually push the update through Windows Update. It doesn't come automatically. I can confirm it fixes my issues with memory allocation. Everything else will be on the developers.

Yep that's what I did. Don't know why I checked for updates at the time. Wasn't a "patch Tuesday".

That's hilarious - D3D9 FPS hitting what 290 in that game? That part where everything is shaking makes me a bit
