    That's for sure. Thanks a lot guys.

    I used Game Bar to record a couple of times way back when it was introduced. Recorded fine. What I like about GFE shadow play is it's easy to record the last 5 minutes (instant replay). And yes essenbe as you probably figured out I use that because I die a lot (probably more than our dude) and it's great to just hit the ALT + F10 to save a recording when I actually make it through the fight scene.

    Thanks. It's taking some getting used to, but I'm enjoying it so far.
    You might want the 2080 Ti for that monitor..

    Windows Game bar records in really low resolution, I haven't found any way to record in high quality resolution, yet..

    I might. Maybe even two.

    I really wish the prices on the Turing cards had been at least somewhat in line with previous generations and their price increases. It's been a while since I've skipped a GPU generation, but this looks to be one that I will...even if I am still massively tempted. hahaha

    Thanks for the input on Game Bar too. I guess I'll grab GFE tomorrow and install it.

    Edit: Was replying to a year-old thread. Deleted parts that are no longer applicable. Good times.

    Do not game much but am currently playing Forza Horizon 4. Great but really miss the Groove integration in the game. I hate that MS abandoned that, it was a fine music player with good onedrive functionality and I had no use for the music pass anyway.

    Basically in Horizon 3 streaming changed when you entered a festival site and such. It's only a small thing but it makes a difference. It working with the in-game voice and changing tracks at the start of the race. The way Horizon 3 adjusts volume and adds effects like reverb makes it really feel like the music is part of the world, rather than just something playing in the background. Which is great because it is your music.

    @Faith

    Where did you get the info that standby memory issues were fixed?

    If you saw the 2080 Ti price in NZ the US price might not seem so bad after all, lol. I wouldn't discount Game Bar, try and see what you think. It does operate smoothly, probably on par with GFE but doesn't seem to offer much control over the recording quality.

    The release notes. I noticed less stuttering in games a couple of days ago so I took a harder look at the notes for the cumulative update (which was the only change I've done to the computer) and I found a flag for MmAllocatePagesForMdlEx. I searched for it in docs and there it says it's for memory allocation. MmAllocatePagesForMdlEx function | Microsoft Docs. But I don't know for sure if it's fixed (I'm no software engineer). That's why I made "may've" in bold a few pages back. It was an observation I made.

    No worries about the game play. It’s the OSD data I’m looking at. That’s pretty good scaling, you definitely have those GPU temps in check (great clocks) and you were right when you said you were running SOTTR 4K as smooth as butter. The FPS data is both strong and consistent and that’s in DX12.

    Thanks man.
