It seems that EA delayed it in response of poor stock value, some of it has to do with the low number of pre orders. EA called the people criticizing the authenticity of their trailers for uneducated, and challenged them not to buy it. I'm curious if that actually made an impact on pre-orders.
That's hilarious. IMHO the last thing EA execs should be doing in response to poor pre orders is showing arrogance. Look at some of the reviews (Guru 3d below) on the BFV beta. Just looking at the review positively, most would conclude the game isn't yet ready for prime time. Why would gamers pre order based on what's out there now? EA just needs to keep their heads down, work hard and get everything fixed. I don't mind waiting until November 20 or later to see what reviews say about the final release.

"First, up some disclaimers, it was very hard to objectively test the Battlefield V Open Beta in its current state, the servers are constantly full or you get kicked out. Next, to that, we ran into limitations. Games spawn at either side in varying various points and scenes. That makes this difficult to test as at one point you get 50 FPS, then on others 75 FPS.

    Concluding
So yes, this performance analysis is more limited then I wanted it to be. Frametimes I might still look into, however, perfmon crashes in the game and FCAT needs to be checked out still (yet I got locked out of the game for 24 hrs again). We tested DX12 mainly, as mentioned for the aforementioned reasons. We, however, recommend you using DX11 for now, it's far more stutter free and is a notch faster as well, we measured anything from 5 to 15 percent faster perf on DX11."

I experience drops in FFXV as well. This is a title originally releases as console only. When the Windows/PC version came out in collaboration with Nvidia I don't think the main objective was to present a highly optimized PC game. I think the intent was to feature full blown Game Works and my experience with that (GRW, etc) is there will typically be stutters and frame drops. The question on a title by title basis is how much.
I think you're right. There's something really wrong with FFXV for me, because the game stops for a brief second randomly, (worse than those random stutters that's notorious in combat scenes). I don't know what's causing it, but it's frustrating to deal with. I only play the game on high preset without gameworks at fhd so there shouldn't really be any issues here. Gameworks have generally been bad for users, not sure how developers feel for it though. Just look at how RotTR and SotTR are implementing their Purehair. It looks great and doesn't eat up system resources like how Nvidia Hairworks do. VXAO takes a massive hit aswell. Shadow libs are the only thing that doesn't nom-nom your PC for FFXV, maybe Turf aswell. HBAO+ is pretty much the only GW feature I enable in games because it doesn't flicker and is generally a good performer too. TAA aswell is good.

Eh what? You need 1080Ti SLI to get more than 68 fps at 3440x1440? I'm guessing that you've maxed out some very demanding settings.

Can you explain those brief drops in any more detail? They sound similar to mine but I don't only experience them FFXV, Watch Dogs 2 also.. Does by any chance the GPU usage% and GPU power% drop when it occurs?

I downloaded that FFXV side quest. Not sure if I will fire it up. The game is fun but I got a bit tired of "pausing" and taking potions, having to get friends to help, etc. Not complaining, just not what I'm use to when playing games.
Well on your OSD I can't see the GPU (purple color numbers), CPU etc. I can see the white FPS numbers. Maybe I can't see OSD as clearly as you as I'm at 1080P.

No matter. That's a pretty heavy action scene. My guess is there is zero, nada, nothing wrong with your hardware. I experience drops in FFXV as well. This is a title originally releases as console only. When the Windows/PC version came out in collaboration with Nvidia I don't think the main objective was to present a highly optimized PC game. Windows Game Bar records in really low quality . I think the fps drops in this game is bad optimization. If it was optimized better the graphics are pretty awesome in this, no doubt. Shame it gets ruined being a bit wonky.

In that side quest video I put up there is an issue in when I alt+tab to the desktop and back to the game the fps turns into a stutter fest. Now I know why that fight was so bad. Even after exiting to the menu there was heavy lag and fps drops just cycling the menu items. If anyone playing FFXV wants to see if they can reproduce that I'm interested to hear. Try alt+tabbing to desktop, turning full screen on/off in game and then returning to the game.

I hope SOTTR give less headaches, AC Odyssey out soon too...

I can run around and occasionally the game will freeze for a second. It looks like if it's more of an issue when I'm near settlements and cities. I haven't monitored the usage, but the GPU is most likely dropping to 0 because the screen is frozen during that period. The audio still plays, so the CPU isn't the issue. First I thought maybe it was the TRAM setting, but dropping it down didn't help. My guess is either the game itself or Windows' standby cache BS that's messing up games. If you didn't know; Windows drops everything to RAM and puts it into standby when the data is not in use. This will make programs more snappier and easier to launch - in theory -, but there's an issue when the system tries to recieve the data from standby to used. The swap or transition from cached to in-use is what's causing stutters. It's an issue Microsoft has been neglecting since the Creators Update 2 years ago. There are plenty of topics on this around the interwebs and it's widely known. This may explain your Watch Dogs 2 problem too.

Yes I have but also Nvidia drivers 411.... slows down the 1080ti so sli was just a better option also i'm fine with not getting a 2080ti my cards together beat it down so i am happy

Two 2080Ti's in NVLINK will just murder me
